Treasure Quest
Project Overview
Treasure Quest is a 2D, top-down RPG where the user plays as a pirate searching for treasure. The player must talk to NPCs to learn tales of its whereabouts as they piece together information. On their adventure, the player will sneak through a pirate hideout, collect gold coins, set sail, and battle other pirates. Treasure Quest was my first major solo project for one of my first game design classes.

Solo Project
Environment and Asset Design
All of the sprites were free assets that I found online. I chose assets that looked cohesive and would match the pirate beach town environment that I wanted to build. Although I did not do the art, the tilemaps still needed to sliced up and put together. I assembled all of the sprites in Unity 2D, building my own world.
Interaction Design
Treasure Quest uses simple and straightforward interactions. The arrow keys or WASD moves the character in the respective directions, E continues the dialogue text, and left mouse click fires cannon balls in the direction of the user's mouse.
