Shop Till You Drop!
Project Overview
Shop Till You Drop! is a VR game developed in Unity 3D where the player must chase their runaway shopping cart and do their best to grab all the items on their shopping list before the cart leaves the checkout line. Shop Till You Drop! is fun and chaotic VR game where the player races against the clock.

Environment and Asset Design
For the environment, we used the demo level of downloaded assets from the Unity Asset Store, created by Daniil Demchenko. We decided to build our level using the demo scene because we really liked the way the scene was already set up as it was laid out like a typical grocery store. However, the downloaded assets grouped the items on the shelves as a single mesh. Therefore, the individual items that we wanted to be able to be picked up needed to be placed one-by-one on the shelves.
While the 3D models were found on the Unity Asset Store, the UI was created by the team in Photoshop.
Interaction Design
The Left Thumbstick (1) is used for player movement as they chase the shopping cart around the level.
The Right Thumbstick (1) allows the player to more easily look around the level with snap turning.
The Side Triggers (5) are used for grabbing objects. When released, the object is dropped, ideally in the cart.
